Sold/Expired 5th run: SST-50 driven by 18650 light.

Received mine today, Thanks! 😀

Anybody have recommendations for a holster?

Thanks all, hope you enjoy it as I do.
Few of them were hold by customs, please wait patiently.

Got mine today, thanks a lot 😉
Love it 🙂 and haven't seen such a small light that uses 18650 batts. Good work!!!! Mine got through customs without any bills or taxes. 😉

Got mine today. Excellent brightness. Immediately my favorite light. Fenix or Eagletac would be lucky to have you as an engineer, download!

What I didn't like:

The clicky is a bit stiff, and I don't like the half-press mode toggles. I'd rather have a 2-mode light where the modes are controlled by twisting the head. Or even better, a 3-mode light with a piston drive system, where you can press-and-hold to enter the toggle. Piston adds some diameter to light, but saves length. Download, have you considered piston drive? Doesn't McGizmo sell chassis parts?

Thanks Carl,

Every light have their design story.
Main task is to pack 18650 as small as possible with latest & brightest LED.
And control with one hand only with multi-level brightness.
So it is small enough to hide inside your jean, work with useful runtime and throw the Wow effect.
Piston drive is a very clever design. Worth every dollar you paid.

+1

Nice and firm, but not too firm.

The more i use, the more I like. :twothumbs

Too firm for me. I can't reliably get the pressure right to switch modes (sometimes I get a mode switch, sometimes I don't).

Also, reverse clickies create a delay when turning on the light. And make it impossible to to momentary-on for signaling. Bad design. I can't fathom why people defend it. Probably they have never used a light with a forward clicky.

Carl, will send you a spare switch, hope it helps a little.

Reverse clickies only good for changing mode while using. 😱

Thanks all!

After some use they loosen up. I've had 3 now and they were all very stiff and after a few weeks of use, they are fine.

Hopefully there will be a sixth run, my girl just told me she would get me one for my Bday next month....
I guess now would be a good time to tell her there is a titanium model available. Nurses make good money, right?

sugibdg & OfficerCamp, please wait a few more days.
:thanks:

Does anyone have beam shots of this light ? Has anyone measured the Lux readings for the throw ? Looks very interesting light in its size but would love to see some shots ...

One another question
Paypal payments that are instant transfer from bank account, do they require that additional 4% ? amd if so then what is it for ?
Im sorry if Im asking questions that have already been answered. Thanks alot
