Sold/Expired 6-7 UPDATE.....I'll Cerakote Your Host or any Parts

It has a slightly grippy feel. If you rub your finger against it firmly, you notice that it grabs better than any type of anodize. But it's not at all squishy and you don't notice any extra thickness.

I would also say that Cerakote has a slight orange peel texture too. That helps the grip as well.

ejot,
I ship every Monday.

I don't own a 3D. If you'll give me the dimensions, I'll send the request for a quote. I'm assuming you want a single color, and not digital camo.

John

A 3D is 12.25in long with the head screwed all the way down.

Re: I'll Cerakote Your Host or any Parts

I though I had alot of pulp on the leef body - after looking at it after it came out of the dishwasher I think the ano is coming off of the high points in the knurling Midnight Blue.

John, Knife parts, Benchmade knife that I bought with messed up finish.

The knife parts can come back to me in the same box as the flashlight parts.

That's the before, here is the after. Looks really good to me. I think you'll be pleased when you get the knife assembled Neale!

And here are the rest of the parts and light bodies I received in today's shipment. It appears as though only Bernie and Bandit's lights are still being worked on.

Henk_Lu, your bodies....

Lisa, I apologize that the shop has pulled Orange-Red from their line-up. They don't know if it was just a bad batch, or of the color is inherently bad for coating. Here is Sgt Burkette in Pink, your 2nd choice.

Neale, here are your 3 lights, Benchmade scales, and 3 clips. (note that 2 clips are on the lights that match their colors. I know it's hard to see, but one of your lights (the one with te STD Surefire head) is Sniper Grey. The other two I believe are Midnight Blue. They will all ship seperated.

This Leaf 2 x 18650 host looks absolutely amazing Neale! The threads on all your lights work smoothly.

All parts will ship via USPS Priority mail Wednesday, July 14th.

Benchmade scales looks GREAT.:thumbsup::thumbsup: I got it fairly cheap as the previous owner had seriously messed up the finish. The Axis lock was surprisingly easy to take apart - particularly with the step by step instructions someone has posted (fairly easy to find - probably easier than finding my bookmark!).

The leef body looks great too - I think the high points of the knurling was loosing the ano.

I think my Oveready M2 SST50 head will match well enough to go on one of these 6Ps....

Hey John, those look really, really great!!!
That was well worth the waiting time, it'll add a very special touch to my EX10/D10 collection and I'll post pictures of all my lights once I have the bodies back and finished assembly.

I'm especially curious to see the D10 on the right side (midnight blue?). It still looks black in the pictures, I know you told me it looks especially cool and is in fact a very dark blue in reality...

Now I have to re-think about some Dereelights. After all, it would avoid taking the wrong one out if they have different colors! 😀

Thanks!!!

Re: I'll Cerakote Your Host or any Parts

I think I am ready to pull the trigger and send in my lights. Those other lights look so good, I have to get mine done too. Quick question or two... I have a Novatac t120 with a 17650 battery tube, how much more to include the cr123 tube to be sparayed? Also, will you take care to ensure electrical pathways are not compromised? I personally dont understand how the novatac works exactly... lol.
One last question... what is the color of henk lu's light that is second from the left in the aboove pic?

Thanks
Charles

That should be blue titanium and if it looks as good in reality than it looks on the picture...

Here's what I ordered :

- Flat Dark Earth : EX10
- Highland Green : D10
- Midnight Blue : D10
- Blue Titanium : EX10

I'm pretty sure I'll be sending in some more, when I'll have these back!

Re: I'll Cerakote Your Host or any Parts

Thats what i thought... Blue Titanium. I have had my eye on that color from the begining of all of this! It really does look sweet!

I'm not an authority on the ra/hds lights, but I know of 2 designs. One NT I owned had a removable spring. The spring is used only to switch modes. The RA I owned had the spring built into the body and was not removable. So I believe that the threads don't need to be taped off. Only the ends of that spring need to be covered in Teflon tape, and I can do that for you. It will be $70 to Cerakote the light and the extension tube.

Re: I'll Cerakote Your Host or any Parts

Maybe there are some Novatac pros around here that can chime in... but theres a shiny "lip" at the end of the battery tube that i think must contact the retaining rings in the head and tail. The threads are annodized up to that point at the very end. I just am afraid of spending a bunch of money and getting a really good looking light that does not work :ohgeez:

Thanks
Charles

P.S. John, if ya have a chance, maybe you can show pics with the colors listed so we can see what they look like in real life. So far I think they are very different than shown in the first post.

Other than Lisantica's pink lights, all other lights posted wear colors from the examples in the 1st post. Your monitor and my horrible picture taking skills may be to blame here. If you see a light you'd like information on, fire away!
