6 x CR123 or 3 x 17670 - ?

I have a Sceptre from Mac which features a fivemega battery holder for 6 RC123s. Is it possible to fit 3 x 17670 batteries in to the battery holder, and will it do any damage to the light if the batteries do fit?

You can put 3x17670 into the light but if you want it to actually light up you need 6x Li-Ion cells
