I knew I had an issue with my E25. Anytime I had batteries in it with the light turned off it would immediately drain the power out of the batteries. No big deal, as I got tired of having to buy a new 2AA light (2 Coast G25s dont work due to abuse) the E25 was up for the job. But as the high and turbo setting didn't work with the older NiMH batteries I tried using a set of Eneloops, almost immediately it started emitting a burning smell with the negative end of the light got warm.
Didn't work on high or turbo either which I don't know if it's related to this other topic,
Anyway shortly after finding out that the light will most definitely short out Eneloops and potentially starting a fire I realized these older cells are not strong enough to run into that problem. Either way this light is looking like it needs to be scrapped but it's been handling abuse just fine despite this odd problem.
Any good 2AA replacements around that can handle being dropped onto concrete and submerged in water?
