First up is something from my grade school years back in the 70's.
I had one just like this, but eventually broke and lost it.
Next up is an Everready from about 1925 - or, nearly 90 years ago.
It's solid brass, painted barrel and nickle plated end caps and bulb retainer. It appears to have a zinc reflector inside.
I have an LED bulb from Ebay in the single cell AA. The antique is waiting for the brightest 3volt E10 base LED I can find (and afford).
