A few Mule questions...(and Haiku)

Out of curiosity , do all McGizmo,s operate the same ??
I dont know why I can do the Sundrop just fine and have trouble with the Haiku.
Does he make easier lights .....LOL

I believe they are all the same. Maybe newer converter boards are a little touchier? Not sure...

But yeah, practice the quick taps, and also I find they tend to change modes more crisply on RCRs over primaries.

As nbp notes, voltage level seems to have something to do with ease of switching ....

For some reason, I have had no "skips" with my stock SunDrop either :thinking:

The off on needs to be really short when the voltage of the battery is high. Say for example if using a fully charged rechargeable at just under 4.2v, the off on needs to be very short as compared to a fully charged primary.
Try not using the click action but the momentary. It will be easier to trigger the off on. Try the tap tap method.

If you have the 6V light engine, the off on need to be much much longer to shift levels. If you deploy the same rate as the 3s, it will not change.

I want the light back .....LOL I love it looks wise.
Again...... sometimes it would work properly and some times it wouldnt change modes.

I have no doubt ........... now Iam lookin at the Makai .....LOL
Iam having a hard time pictureing the size of the head .......... are there pics of it next to the Haiku somewhere ?

It does look bigger than the other heads but still very pocketable.
It really depends on what you expect your light to do. And if you are after a proficient thrower, than nothing comes close to the Makai.

Here's a pic of the Makai with a 2x123 battery pak. Custom sandblast finish by Don. To me, the natural choice for the Makai head is the 6V XML version. It's such a tremendous performer, it's my EDC for outdoor work with the dog.
