I've been meaning to review some lights a got a little while back, but I've either been too busy or forgot. This is going to be an ongoing review as my schedule permits. It might look kind of lacking but I'll be working on it . Here's the lineup. Beamshots will come later.

First off, the Streamlight trident. This is a xenon/led combo light with decent ouput and throw. It runs on 3 AAA batteries in one of those special carriers. I'm not really a fan of the AAA lights but this one seems to be pretty good. It comes with a second strap but I'm not relly sure what it's for. Personally a headlamps weight doesn't bother me, some people might find this light a little front heavy though. The light has a 3 stage clicky button switch to cycle through the levels. First click is the green led, the led has decent output and a nice floody beam. The second click takes me to the 2 white leds. These are not the best leds, at least in mine they appear very angry blue. They do throw a good distance though and if you're good at modding you can replace them with better nichia leds. Third click takes me to the xenon bulb. I'm kind of surpised how white this light is for an incan, it isn't A2 whiteness but it's still good. The xenon bulb is also focusable from a tight spot to wide flood by twisting the head. The thing I find most interesting about this light is its faceted reflector, it seems to even out the incan nicely without sacrificing throw. And of course one more click and it's off. I will do a runtime test if I can dig up a few sets of AAA batteries.

I'll review the others soon. time for sleep. :)
