I just bought a Great Lite two AA cell flashlight with side mounted push button. This thing is just a bit longer than a mini-mag and about the same diameter. It comes apart very easily. The power switch and bulb socket can be pushed out with a dowel. Just remove the rubber switch cover first. I think I can fit a step-up regulator in the space under the switch. The lens and reflector are pressed in from the outside and I have not tried to fit a collimator in yet.
I could not pass it up, it was only $2.99 at Auto Zone. Sears has a similar light under their Craftsman label. Has any one checked one of these out?
