Looking for suggestions for a single RCR 16340 3.7v EDC. My Father has requested one to use on his way to/from our local club, which involves negotiating a dark, dog**** strewn alley.:eeew: All too often his night out has been ruined by getting 'winged' on his way home and walking it into the house, thus receiving a 'right rollocking' from my Mother.

This would make them both happy! Must be small, up to about £40 budget, not too many modes and not 'zoomable'.

Thanks!

Olight s10 small n bright with side button or foursevens mini xml twisty even smaller. ...

Eagtac D25C Clicky.

+1

A little over budget but limited lifetime warranty is very good for todays standards, where many are 12 or 24 months........

Its one of my fav lights ...........ever,so small and beautiful in the ti
d25c is the bottom one(top is d25a)

I use IMR16340 as its a d25cvn de-dome other than mods its the same size

Very pocket friendly:twothumbs and worth a few extra £

On the mode side there are 2 options, head tight then turbo, and strobe, loosen then different levels. If go through modes twice quickly then sos etc so easy to avoid the disco stuff.

I just use mine head tightened when i need it.

Its a little work of art, titanium too! I don't own a Ti torch at the moment and fancy (for myself) the sunwayman V10R Ti2 but way too much money! This could be the one.. :grin2:

About £50 shipped on eBay, do you know anywhere cheaper?

I like my ET D25As and have a few, but their warranty is pretty misleading. It's only a year for "electronics" and that includes the driver.

Right,i did not know that, guess pretty much the same as others then..........misleading.Ironic thing is,lenser offer a full 5yr warranty on everything,no need to send off in UK,they just send to you free..............guess one of the better ones out there.iirc 47s have a good warranty too at 10yrs.

Sounds good value to me,i got both mine off vinh.

I've got a SWM V11R, M11R, EagleTac D25C Ti and a ShiningBeam I-Mini. The V11R and I-Mini are both variable, which might be nice for your needs. Both run on primaries and RCR123s, as well as the others. The I-Mini can be had for $24? You can buy single AA and double AA adapters for cheap, allowing you to run at least a 14500, or 2xAAs in a pinch. They're like $4-5 each.

Output is a bit higher now, but closer to ~270LM, vs. the ~495LM of the V11R, still it's a nice light, it lacks a pocket clip, although one can find one that might fit, from other vendors.

The EagleTac D25C and SWM M11R have a specific number of output modes, the latter having 3+strobe and the former having a solid 5 output modes plus a million and three blinkies.

Smallest of the four and having a clip, is the D25C clicky. I like variable lights, so the V11R is pretty cool, but it's slightly longer and slightly wider than the ET light.

Pocketlights are my thing and I'm a 'rechargeable battery' kind of guy.
