hi guys

i've been using those hot cree leds like fenix p3d q5, tiablo a9 etc.

this time i want to get some special and unique light. so i decided to get and A2.

but i am kinda worried about it's brightness.

even though they say A2 puts out more like 75-80 lumens instead of 50,

my guess is that Q5 lights will kick A2's butt with spills and even throw.

i've seen some beamshots of p3d and streamlight tl-3. and damn..the p3d

seemed to put out more light than tl-3. throw? no significant difference in the picture.

what can i expect from a2's performance when crees are even comparable to tl-3 ??

i know that a2 is the one and only regulated special light, but led's gone too far i guess.

So how does A2 compare to Q5 lights?

thanks.

Ryan, I just did a bounce test between my A2 and a T1 sample (uses a Q5) I have from Fenix-store.com - the T1 seems brighter than the A2, but it's hard to make a definite comparison because of the different tints. Somebody with a light meter could tell you exactly what the difference in brightness is when doing a bounce test.

The corona of the A2 is much larger than the T1's.

Throw... oh, I dunno, it's too cold for me to go outside and play. :nana:
