ok, i know of a few.
the new nightcore defender.
the titan at $500 (way too much for a light, let alone a aa)
what about this one?
http://www.batteryjunction.com/proton.html

is that infinitely variable or just two levels?

do you guys know of any more?
i prefer ultra bright high and low low, with easy interface.

FWIW I believe LiteFlux lights have a lower-low than the NiteCore DI, so I'd put the LF-5 over the NDI. Too bad it appears to be out of stock / discontinued?

Photon Proton is variable brightness and 1AA.

Technically because it isn't an analog, it isn't infinitely variable... but "infinitely variable" is just marketing BS anyway. You turn it on then press and hold the button to ramp down brightness. It works very well, and they just came out with their new Cree version, so head over to Battery Junction and pick one up. $56 before the CPF discount.

tell me more about photon proton.
does that get as bright as fenix aa or nightcore?
(i think i know the answer...)
how many lumens are we talkin?
