AA mini mag parts.....

Ok..I am soon going to post my story and pictures on my making of several lights thanks to the help of several memebers.

What I have found out is that the AA minimag LED light fits in one of my dive lights...with a little work....

What I am trying to find out is can this LED designed for 2 AA's be driven with 4 AA's safely?

Also.....what threads or drop in modules can you suggest, same size as the AA LED, I can get......to increase my dive light output.

As far as running the 2AA minimag led module on 4AA's--no it will not work. That circuit only boosts from 3v, and it'll fail quickly with 6 volts.

mmmmm...darn.....it does work...but I guess you are right.....it will burn out......will have to put in a battery blank.......

Can you re-wire the battery pack so you would have 2 parallel pairs of 2AA batteries? You would get twice the run-time.

darn good idea...I can do that with ease......I feel so much like Hommer Simpson right now
