I bought 30 of those about a year ago from there. So far I'm still pretty happy with them...and they even forgot to charge me for them! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Do they fit in an older mini-Mag?

1. Older ones say on the head: "MINI-MAGLITE MFG BY MAG INSTRUMENT-ONTARIO CA.-USA"
2. Newer ones say on the head: "MINI MAGLITE AA MAG INSTRUMENT-CALIFORNIA, USA (Ram's head)"

I have found that all of my 2000, 2100 & 2200 mAh cells won't fit in the older Mags.

...and length. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif It may be a fraction of a milimeter, but it's enough to make some connections spotty, and some things not screw down all the way.

I finally put the Lenmar 2300mAh AA batts on the CPF members page. I had a bunch of people ask about them, but it took a few weeks for the better price. I still have a few of the 1500mAh BYD AA cells for .75 too.
That Duracell should be a great battery too.

I have both old & new mini-mags. So far, I haven't had any problem with fit. Thanks for the quick & dirty way to tell them apart.

O.K., good. I wonder if 2000 mAh is the "old mag cutoff" capacity.
I am curious what the highest cpacity cells that will fit in an older Mag is.
