AAA MiniMag

Anyone know if there is an led replacement for the AAA minimag (like a smaller version of the MiniStar2) ???
I know the run times wouldnt be wonderful with 2xAAAs but hey, I'm a flashaholic and I'd like to complete the "LED- <font color="blue"> </font> fication" of my maglite collection.

Yes, there is at least one LED drop-in replacement available for the AAA MiniMag, I've got one in mine at the moment, problem is I can't remember who makes it or where I got it from. On the drop-in module it says "BPRM-1827 2003 L/W"

I saw an upgraded AAA MiniMag here in the UK the other week. It looked like a straight 3mm white LED, possibly a tad overdriven. The reflector was still intact and (apparently) unmodded.

It was the end of a long, rather ummm... "sociable" gathering in a London pub, I was in the middle of two or three simultaneous conversations at the time and didn't get to take it apart for closer inspection. The guy who owns it lives 200 miles from me, is away from home a lot and I probably won't see him again until at least Easter.

I suppose it could easily be just a straight white LED with its legs cut and filed down to fit the socket, but it looked too bright for that.

If anyone knows where they come from, I'd be very interested in finding out, possibly with a view to importing a few. We sell more Opalec NewBeams than anything else and get a lot of enquiries about upgrades for other sizes of Mags, other than the 2AA.

Can anyone help ?
