AAA undecided

Ok.....I've read all the possible threds on AAA Led's.....done all the research about build quality/brightness....now I want to know what you guys have to say about these 2 lights and which one to buy....

1. fenix lod ce q4, 75L, type III hard anodized $46
2. KD 1AAA SCC, 100L, type II hard anodized $15

My dilemma....I originally was going to buy the fenix...then found the KD and the great price, but after reading lots of posts....not sure about KD biuld quality/longevity??

I'm as confused as you, but for $ 15 a pop (includes shipping) I bought 2...that way if one breaks, the other can become a donor. You get what you pay for, so we'll see.

I think the relative prices should speak for themselves. If you read here long enough, you'll hear a fair number of KD stories. Lights that arrive broken, lights that break after a short time, lights that don't perform and so forth.

Also look at the finish. I don't think type II anodizing counts as hard anodizing.

I'm not a Fenix fanboi, but I'd spend the money and get the Fenix.

I like to have more runtime, so I'd pay the extra $30 for a Fenix. I might also get a few AAA cheapies to give away as gifts, but that's another story...

1) actually $42.32 shipped, comes in black and red, and is true HA-III
2) not actually 100l, only type-II (not HA)

Build quality is leaps and bounds apart.
Yeah, the price pretty much speaks for itself.
