Not been in this game for more than a couple of years and still looking for the perfect torch. I prefer 14500 for edc, 21700 for when I know I will need alot of light. I do have an SC65C coming from McBob so that may change things....

In my search of the perfect edc 14500 fidgit factor is important as I almost always have a torch in hand while sitting at desk, couch, etc...

So far my top 3-

Skilhunt M150- Love the fidgit factor, UI, but output is lacking
Emisar D3AA- great output, UI, chunky head, moderate fidgit factor
Weltool T1 Pro- great output for outdoor use, not so much indoors or close range, really stiff switch, high fidgit factor

I have tried many, many others but these are my top 3.

Would like to hear others top 3 and why they make the list.

In no particular order:

Nitecore D10 because of its knurling
Malkoff MDC AA with the last gen (fully ribbed) body
Peak El Capitan stainless steel for its weight and being impervious to drops

Runner up: Convoy T3 titanium

All lights are modded or custom ordered with high CRI emitters.

Either the Malkoff MDC (in whatever head you want) or the DMC Slims (in whatever form factor flips your fancy).

I probably carry my satin Alu Malihini slim more than any other 14500. Absolutely disappears in the pocket and I've never needed more than it has on tap.

Brass Peak LED Eiger with aftermarker S.S. clip, and Peak tailcap switch option. I call it, "Brass Head." I got the variation that can run on all types of AA-sized batteries. But, I don't remember what that designation is.

Peak lights that run on AA/14500 sized batteries are named El Capitan. Eiger is AAA/10440.

Really only have one 14500 light and it's a headlight, an Acebeam H40. When others can beat it's 1050 lumens with a dimmer, I'll be interested.

Hands down favorite 14500 light is the Divot from Dawson Machine Works. Received this one from Joshua a month or so ago and it has been in my pocket every day since then. Perfect beam and tint plus the best programmable driver out there makes it nearly impossible to beat.
