Acebeam U.I Question

Greetings!

Just received an Acebeam L16 2.0

I'm curious to know if I have a defective unit or not

I've read all the reviews and watched all the vids to try and see if anyone else has noticed the "issue" but cannot find it repeated.

Here's how the U.I works now:

Side switch gives the normal selection of modes.

Tail switch gives instant turbo, momentary and full. Accessing turbo via tail switch overrides every other mode, including lockout. This is by design and why I bought the light.

Here's the issue: When I am "on" in a "side switch" mode and access turbo override with the tail switch - the turbo works as promised - but the light switches off when I exit turbo. This happens with momentary and full turbo.

This vexes me. Maybe it shouldn't? Anyone got an L16 2.0 or similar U.I template Acebeam working differentlybto mine?

I don't own the light, but from what I'm gathering after reading a few reviews, is that that is how it works normally. The 'turbo override' literally overrides the side switch. Once you shut the turbo off using the tail switch, it shuts off the light.
Basically, you'll have to turn it back on using the side switch. It should have memory tho'.

That's how the L35 2.0 works also.

I'd rather the light stay on the lower level after you hit the tail switch. Using the side switch to go from low to turbo and back works fine though...

Thanks for the feedback, I was hoping someone with an L35 2.0 would comment as the U.I is the same. Good to know it's not defective then.

Other than that small vexation, the L16 2.0 has pleased me so far. My first real thrower in many years, maybe ever.
