I'm in the market for a soda can flooder. I have been looking at both the acebeam x45 v1 and v2. I have an olight x7 nw now and that's what I'm looking to replace. I have had it for close to a year and a half. As far as functionality it's fine with one big exception and one small one. The big one is that turbo s and turbo go away way before nominal battery voltage. I loose turbo s at about 3.95V and turbo at about 3.8V. The small one is no lanyard attachment point. I have an acebeam x80 and it will go into turbo max when the batteries are at 3.2V and maybe even lower, it's just not practical for me to use it in certain circumstances because of the excessive heat it puts out. I'm hoping the x45 with the much bigger head dissipates the heat a lot better than the x80.
I'm looking for input on the x45 from any owners.
Any other suggestions for other lights of similar capability that I should look at are most welcome. Please don't recommend any thing that's not available in nw, has any type of battery pack or proprietary battery.
Thanks
Frank
