Interesting. Those are definitely XHP70.2.

edit: got confirmation from the dealer, new ones are indeed SMO and XHP70.2.

Thanks for the confirmation, I guess that's a good thing!

How much difference will the changes make?

Thanks for review!

While I am not a fan of these overpowered lights I actually find this flashlight attractive. I can simply ignore the turbomodes and use the regular regulated modes. 1h20min at 4000lm and 3h50min at 1500lm really is high performance and these can be runned without overheating the light.

Nice! I checked the HK website, and text shows 70.2 and 18,000 lumens, and pics show crinkly reflectors. I have an Acebeam X65vn 70.2 crinkly reflector boosted to 25,000 lumens for short max bursts that I love, and use, too.

I really like the look of smooth reflectors. Thanks for posting the great looking screenshot, and thanks for posting the information.

I got the new X45 cree XHP70.2 flashlight (18000 Lumens). Must say an improvement from a throw of around 68 000 candela (X45 XHP70 CW) to 89 000 candela with a much better TINT. However there's nosign, to my eye, of the (very slight, I have to say) green cast of the olderX45 XHP70 CW.

Do you have the 5000k or 6500k?

My new version 5000k x45 arrived today. It has the smooth reflector and the tint is really good. Warmer than my olight h2r neutral 5000k at the same 2000 lumen output yet cooler than my zebralight h600w. I'm thinking it looks like 5000k. The olight looks more 5500-6000k. Does anyone think changing the reflector takes away from the flood? I think it's so powerful it doesn't matter. It does have good throw and flood. I don't have the old version to compare. I see they have filters that screw on the bezel and one of them is frosted. Might have to check that out. I was very worried about the tint cause I don't care for cool/blue light and I'm happy to say the version 2 5000k is really nice. That may be luck of the draw from what I've read. The green tint I'm reading about is maybe slightly visible on lower outputs at the edge of the hot spot, but not bad. It's also smaller than I expected. I can put it in my jacket pocket.
