Addicted to \"pocket\" lights

I must 'fess up to my addiction to pocket lights. I'm currently struggling to keep mine at just a Princeton Tec Blast and Arc AAA. Anyone else care to chime in?

Here are some measurments of the brightest part of the beams that I just performed with my new light meter adapter. If I did it right, the numbers are in foot-candles. If not, then they are a relative measurment! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Arc AAA = 17 Fc
SL Keymate = 34.9 Fc
CMG Ultra G = 16.3 Fc
Paklite = 13.7 Fc and on low 1.3 Fc

I feel your pain. But before you go cold turkey you might consider the new Dorcy AAA (only 6 bucks) and an Infinity for long, long life.

I got it bad 5 ARC AAA,( 3 more on the way) 2 ARC LS,SL Keymate,2 infinitys,TW4,E1E,L1,SL TT1L,PT attitude,UK 2AAA led,& a few coin cell lights.Only a few months ago I was getting along with a couple of 3AAA & 2AA incandescents and now III CAN't STOP BUUUUYING LIIIGHTS /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif forgot SL stylus thats all I can think of that I would call pocket lights although lots of my other lights fit in my pockets, we may need a definition of pocket light! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It looks like you need a Ultra & a Ultra-G & ARC AA when it
comes out. Then there's the Firefly & theMiniMiniMag.
Once we get you all caught up you'll only have to buy the

Don't forget the Micro Illuminator! Oh and add PALights to the list also! You should consider an eternaLight too - lots features/runtime for the money!! Almost forgot the McLux!! Was there a Pelican L1 in there somewhere?

Just the other day, I was looking at my torches - granted "different tools for different jobs", but my larger torches are more for emergency light. A pocket torch of some type is my EDC. Anyway, I was just thinking as I "visually inventoried" my collection that my "group" was leaning towards the "Pocket Torch" catagory. They are soooo handy, can't wait to get the FireFly!!

The eternaLight Derringer is also small enough to go in a pocket, but the other eternaLights are brighter. Larger, but brighter too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I understand your pain,
Micro Illuminator AAA and Stoplight single AA project continuing as we speak. Next up a Dorcy AAA with a red luxeon in place of the 5mm LED (Luxeons only spoken here...don't want no stinking 5mm!)

Surprised no-ones mentioned it yet; get yourself a McLux. Its a bit bigger than the other lights mentioned so far, and a fair bit dearer too, but with good reason. Its an awesome combination of durability, flexibility and downright gorgeous to boot. Its the Rolls Royce of pocket lights /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
