Adding grip ring to Surefire G2X?

I'm working on using the Rogers grip with a Surefire G2X, am finding it very difficult. I know Surefire sells 'combat rings' which slip around and basically give you a modified version of their pistol-based lights, but will those rings fit the G2X suitably?

The SureFire grip rings will fit the G2X fine. They are made of rubber and are designed to stretch over just about any 1" tailcap.
