So i'm looking at these adventure sport 5000 lumen maglite upgrades, and i cant seem to find any posts about them. I was hoping to breath some new life into an old 2 D cell maglite with more power and rechargeable batteries. I just wanted to read some different reviews about it before i spent the money. If anyone knows of a post i missed or has experience with these it would be greatly appreciated.

Iv seen the Malkoff drop ins but the power of adventure sport seems awesome for a 2 cell maglite.

Thanks.

I have it, in a 6D running 6xNiMH (I wanted the mass of the cells, vs running 2x26650 in a sleeve: it can be used either way). It's bright, manages thermals well, runs forever.
I like it.

Edit: I'd recommend it unhesitatingly for someone looking for big-output in a classic Mag, and Matt has been sterling to deal with, answering every niggling question I had.

No problem. :) I just figured this is where the most knowledgeable folks on this product would see it.

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago for my 2D, great upgrade, huge flood.

Hey all, is there still a 5000 lumen AdventureSport / LumenCraft? Co-worker inherited a 4D and wants an ultimate upgrade. I'm going to set him up with a Lumencraft module, but I see the 4200 and not the 5000.
