Hello, I have an MDC LMH 3.7v - 9v that I would like to run on 2 protected batteries to give myself low voltage protection and also better regulated run-time.

I'm wondering if there is a battery tube that can handle the length of 2 protected cells?

It sounds like most people are using unprotected cells to prevent over compressing the springs, but I'd really like to run protected cells if I'm going to run 2 series.

What size battery are you wanting to run? 16340,14500??
I'm willing to run 16340, 18350, 14500.

I don't have any protected batteries yet, or the longer battery tube, so I'm mostly trying to figure out which would work so I know what to buy.

In order of preference I'd like to run 2 protected 18350s, or 2 protected 14500. 16340 would be the least ideal given the limited capacity and limited selection of batteries in that format.

An 18650 tube setup that could handle 2 protected 18350s would be ideal given the ability to also run 18650s.

To run 2x 18350 you could potentially run a Malkoff MD2 with the body extender kit. I haven't personally tried this but just based off of comparing the length of my protected Keeppower 21700 (assuming 2x 18350s would be similar in length) to an 18650, you might be able to get away with it.

EDIT: Sorry, just realized you said MDC and not MD. I think lumensfactory might have something but I don't believe they take protected 18350s

I don't know if anyone ever gave you a straight answer for MDC, but this body could work with 2x 18350s and an MDC head.
