Hello friends,

I need advice on the best possible NVS for night and low visibility conditions (mist, bad weather) to be used on helicopter pilot helmet. Available for civilians, or simply available, don't mind about source.
Money is not and issue.

Regards,
Javier Lopez

It has to be helmet mounted, or would outside mount and a screen inside be acceptable? Are you thinking visible light or IR? Night vision gear is up to about generation III. Your problem may be not what is the best there is, but what is the best I can import into Spain? The US makes some pretty serious high end stuff, but they are fussy about exporting it. Assuming Spain is still in NATO, I would look at what NATO pilots use and try to get that.

I know the US military uses Gen III goggles, for the wider field of view. Not sure of specifics.

Helmet mounted is preferable, but information about inside screen will be welcome for other uses.
Regarding visible or IR we are looking for the best system for low visibility conditions, specially for mist.
