Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

Hey, that A1 looks like one of mine.

I really like those flared bodies. I just got a couple in 2X123 to check out and they go nicely with the flat top.

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

Looks great !
Anyone got runtime data on the CR2 combos?

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

beautiful lights jeff. Where did you get the flared CR2 combo and how much? I cant find any natural OD colour Aleph2 being sold in the shoppe. And does the CR2 body fit into surefires?

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

That Cr2 package would make a nice home for a NexGen350 or 400 setup.

What's the capacity of a Cr2 anyway?

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

Nyong1, The "new" flared bodies are on the 1st page of the Shoppe, as "new" Items. (it also fits my SF KL1)

I'm running the CR2 with an NG500 that I had on 1x123 body; thinking of buying an available wiz2 520 (aleph2 head) to use on the 1x123 or perhaps the cr2..................any opinions please?

Thanks You,

jeffb

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

I don't think the Wiz2 will run long on 1x123, will it? Its designed for 3 to 6 volts, and the CR123 will drop down to around 2.7 volts pretty quickly when driving a light at 520 mA.

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

bernie,
Thanks for the input!, I'll try to remember(?) that these charts are on Don's site. It seems that wiz2 is perfect for 1.5 body.
Soooooooo, maybe I'll buy and have to buy a different body, as well! Too many decisions!! Too many lights!?

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

what would run time be for a CR2 using a NG 400 or 500?

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

>>ALeph2,CR2 Flared, FT Tail

What's the length on this combo?

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

barmstrong...............measured the light, shown in 1st post;
approx 3 1/8".

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

3 1/8? And its completely modular? Cooolll! Thanks much. U-bin CR2. Hmmm...

I may have to pick me up one of these guys...

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

Well, not *completely* modular. The 123's from my other Alephs won't fit in it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

will a CR2 be happy on a NG400/500 driver?...what knid of run times would be expected on a NG 400 or 500?

Re: Aleph New Flared Body CR2

One runtime test I did:

An NG400 would obviously give you more run time. If you use low output much of the time, the CR2 is a viable size with reasonable reserve, IMHO.
