What LED is in the Nautilus?

The original I believe was a XR-E Q5 bin emitter. (I have one that has not been modded).

So it was just the Mk III that got the Nichia?

I don't know if the mk. II was different, but this thread is from almost 9 years ago and it mentions the XR-E:

I'll look down the barrel of mine and let you know what I see.

I just checked mine, looking down the barrel and at the back of the head there really isn't anything visible that might indicate anything.

Now I am quite confused myself about the Nautilus.. not sure at all which version it is.
Nevertheless, here is a picture down the barel for you Eala.. hope someone can help me figure out which version it is.

For sure it is an XRE. I don't recall what Enrique's numbering structure was, but really, all that matters is knowing what LED is in there which we do now.

Thanks for obliging. I would have been tempted if it was a Nichia in there.

Yes that's the original Nautilus. The Mk. II had a Nichia and 3 modes.

The Maus MKI arrived this morning and is perfect. I picked up some rechargeable (NiMH) N-Cell batteries for it, tested it out, and am now charging them up. The tint and form factor are excellent. Thank you again Jmayot!
