Hi,
I want to show you a very nice flashlight.
It's name is Alpha 1 and it is made by 'Schulzendorf'

(I really don't know who or what Schulzendorf is...).
I like it very much

, that's why I'am posting some pictures.

It's waterproof. The 7 LED's are powered by two lithium 123's. It's 110 x 30/24 mm Ø and 74 g without batteries.

Here with a Arc AAA:

Here the 7 LED with a Arc LS:

To see the size the following picture:

What do you think?

very nice! how does it compare in brightness to the ls? about 1/2 i would guess?

Oh! Oh! Oh! New toy! I WANT! I want SMALL flashlights with LOTS of light! More details if possible?

added later:

It is the same size as the Scorpion but is 20mm shorter!

I like the looks of this light a lot!

Does anybody know where it can be found/purchased?

By any chance do you have an Inova X-5, Whistler? I would really like to know how it compares to one of those because it seems like the closest comparison. Hopefully, it is brighter with the extra two leds.

yes, the only place to buy it (I know) is at this shop:

alpha1

A little rusty on your german

?

I admit that the alpha 1 is not really cheap (about $155,-), but isn't this a sign of the flashaholic syndrome to buy it despite the price

?
Further, I like the design. I find the alpha more attractive than the Inova X5. In fact I think you should have them both
wink.gif
, since the design differs so much.

I will try to make some pics to let you see the output. Give me some time since I broke my foot and walking is 'a little' difficult.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I remember, "Ich verstehe nicht", and very little else. Oh yeah and "Ich spreche Deutsch nicht" or is it "Ich spreche kein Deutsch"?

Oh well either way you get the idea.

Good luck with the broken foot; I hope it heals quickly! Pat

VERY frustrating not having any brightness comparisons. How can we make a purchase- justifying judgement?

OTOH, in the Flashaholic spirit maybe I should just buy the #@#!! thing.

Thanks anyway a nice light but out of my price range

Wow! You must have said something really bad if you had to put your foot in your mouth so far it broke it! Oops, now I've not a mouthful of toe, good thing my tounge is out of the way...in my cheek ya know.

Saaby,

now I can't follow you. But since I can't walk with my broken foot this is not surprising...

To much money for a flashlight? Never heard that before. It concerns a FLASHLIGHT
rolleyes.gif
! You can sell you car. Get cut off from electricity- advantage: than you can play all night with you flashlights
grin.gif
. To much money, not a good reason! Christmas will come.

You also can brake your foot, that is a very good reason to spoil yourself...

Schulzendorf alpha 1
Again 2002. Finally: there the LED lamp with High end housing is. Altogether 7 intelligently arranged high speed LEDS provide here for an absolutely perfect reflected beam angle. They sit in the Design-price-suspicious, CNC milled and black anodised aluminum housing. High-quality threads with silicone seals and hardened mineral glass make those absolutely waterproof for alpha 1. Two 3 v-lithium batteries provide for extremely for a long time and also with cold weather reliable current supply. Quality from Berlin. Mass: 110 x 30/24 mm Ø. 74 g (without batteries).

Against (prototype -) the illustration the lamp is completely black anodised.
