Interesting idea.

Most of my bike rides are early morning while it's still dark, and end just before sunrise.

I currently have a 6P in a handlebar mount, and the only downside is when I'm doing tight singletrack and want light to shine into the corner I'm about to take.

I don't believe this hand-mounted light will work for me, though, as I change hand positions quite often, ie when I move my hands to the bar-ends the light will point almost 45 degrees down. Also I'd have to remember to do all my other work with my left hand, like wiping away sweat, eating, drinking etc so as to not blind myself in the process.
