Another Opalec question

Am I correct to assume that an Opalec can be run off of 2 AAA's. It will just have a shorter run-time than 2 AA's.

If so, I think I'm gonna go pick up a PT Blast

you would have to make somthing for the aaa's to fit in the body of a aa light, but yes there would be enough voltage.

I am working on that same mod right now. I have an older blast where the bulb fit into a socket in the reflector. So I don't even need to solder. I had to cut the opalec legs shorter and bend the leads. I think the best way to go about this is to carefully pry the circuit board off the lamp module then drill out the reflector. I need to get a drill bit big enough. So I haven't finished. I'll let you know how it goes.
