Hi all,
I just wanted to let you know what I found today.
These: http://www.toolbarn.com/product/dewalt/DW0714/
I used to have the Tool King glasses and they worked great, and were cheap ~$10. But the earpeices/frame are a really soft plastic and they broke. These Dewalt ones look a lot more sturdy (I think the sidepieces are metal), and are the same price as the ToolKings, ~10.
Toolking:
Dewalt:
Now, I haven't received them yet so it's just an assumption that they absorb 532nm light as well as the Toolkings but I don't see why they wouldn't. If anything the optical density of the Dewalts looks a little lower than the Toolking which is a good thing because it's very difficult to see the beam, or even the dot with the toolkings.
Remember though folks, these do NOT protect against IR light. So if you have one of those ebay lasers without a filter you can still hurt your eyes even though the glasses greatly reduce the intensity of the green light.
