Any pictures of fivemega 2.5in Throwmaster w/ROP bulbs??

Hi all,

I couldn't sleep last night thinking how much more throw would be gained from the Fivemega 2.5in throwmaster VLOP bezel kit but at $105 I really want to see some reviews.

I searched and saw a P7 review with this 2.5in kit, but I want to see how much it will change the ROP 3853L/3854L.

Does anybody have any beamshoots before and after?????


I saw a WA1185 with this bezel kit and it did in fact make it a thrower. My thinking was if it can make the floody 1185 throw it must do miracles for the ROP Low bulbs.

I just tried one out, it throws a pencil thin beam a looong way. It's spot is as bright as my ROP-H (3854 with 6xSub-C cells) that is wearing a new FM Deep reflector (VLOP), although the high has a larger spot and way more spill. I also tried the deep reflector on the low bulb, not as much throw as the 2.5" head, but still pretty good.

It doesn't match a 5761, much brighter (and bigger) spot and spill, but still with lots of throw. An amazing bulb.

So,
The 2.5in Throwmaster makes the already throwy beam ROP L bulbs more pencil like.:thumbsup:

What is the 5761?

Is this a WA type of lamp or a drop-in ROP type of lamp?

The 5761 is a Phillips bi-pin bulb, 6v 35w overdriven to 7.2v, pretty darn bright. Check out Lux's Top 10 Mag Mod list, it sits at 13 with the ROP-H (3854) at 18.
