Any reason to stick with SF bulbs over Lumens Factory?

LF bulbs are cheaper and brighter(and probably just as long?)? Why bother then with SF?

I'm convinced that when driven within their specs, SF lamps have 2-3 times longer lamp life than LF. That being said, the whiter light, tighter beams, and more efficient lamps at lower costs seem to make up for the loss of longevity when compared with SF.

depends on what you want from your lamp. I think there are some lamps that LF offers that only they offer a niche for, while there are others that SF offers that are not filled by any other niche... Point being, there is plenty of need for both. And some folks will always prefer to support SureFire regardless of price, and that is perfectly understandable as well.

I think that they are both great lamps. Sure-Fire lamps have that extra bit of durability. The P series lamps are great flood lamps for close or indoor tactical situations. The Lumens Factory bulbs with their slightly smoother reflectors and slightly higher driven bulbs are the perfect compliment as they have more throw and so they are a little better outdoors. I love the HO-9 in my C3 as an all purpose all around bulb. But neither it or the EO-9 replaces the P91 as a bright floody tactical lamp. And sometimes the P90 is better than the HO-9 if you want a longer run or need to be easier on batteries.

I love both the Lumens Factory and Surefire lamps for what they are.

My understanding is that LF offers a couple of lamps that fit in-between SF's LOLA and HOLA. For example: If you want longer run-time with less light, go with the P90. More light-less run-time HO-9, even more light and great throw E0-9, but less run-time. Most light, but shortest run-time, P91. Also the LFs have more throw, especially the EO-9, while the SF P91 has the most flood of the group. For me, the most flood and most light overall sounded good, so I use the P91 a lot. I'm running a rechargable set-up, otherwise that 18-25 minute run-time, and subsequent battery replacement, just wouldn't be very fun on the wallet.

They are both great, but I will buy the Lumens Factory from Mike@PTS since he can deliver quickly and he also has GREAT customer service where he fully supports all of the products he sells.

To me it seems the surefire 9V turbohead bulbs are out of stock most of the time . So i'm glad the LF bulbs are available.

Reliability of the SF bulbs, the LF bulbs are driven harder than some of the SF bulbs but I have a few of the LF Bulbs and i must admit they are pretty neat because of the 3.7V!!!!! :D

The only useful information if from someone who has OBJECTIVELY tested the life and performance of both...or knows actual facts on manufacturing spec differences.

I've been trying to drive the point down for awhile now, but nobody seems to *get it.*

the difference between a 20 or 30 hour bulb can happen through changing battery brands, throw in some progold on a contact or 2 and the difference is going to be even larger...

The reality is that a tactical lamp user is going to have the potential to burn out lamps anywhere from the first time it is ever turned on up through 100 hour or so, and there's going to be practically no way to track enough lamp failures to come to any conclusion.
