I am looking at it to possibly use for a B.O.B. It seems kinda small but it looks like it will hold the basics: TP, roll of duct tape, first aid kit, Surefires' and batteries, compact binoculars, GMRS radios and batts, tarp and rain poncho. It is only 10x9x7. Does anyone own it, and do you think it will hold all that? I am also looking at this one at BagDepot. Its a little bigger, has more pockets and is also Made in USA. I have a Maxpedition Baby Condor that I use as an EDC. I was looking at the Maxpedition Nucleus BOB but its kinda pricey. Not looking to spend $75 for a bag that prolly won't get used all that often. The County Comm version doesn't look that nice, and they won't tell me where its made (trying to buy American if possible). Fire away!!

I think that the dimensions you gave is too small for the list you have. A backpack would be a better suggestion for a BOB. You will have your hands free with a backpack.

I already have a backpack, the Baby Condor I mentioned. I need a shoulder bag so I can carry them both if need be. I also am looking into the Maxpedition Proteus but I don't think thats as big as the SpecOps bag... as matter of fact its not. The Spec-Ops bag is 600 Cu.In and the Proteus is 285 - not even close to the spec ops...

How about this Butt Pack which is about the same size and a lot cheaper. I use one on a web belt, and you have all kinds of option of carrying in and on it. It's a great combination with a backpack.

Looks a little too cheap. I'll figure something out...

Hey KDOG,

I have the Spec ops bag and it looks much bigger in pictures than it really is. I use it as an addendum to our BOBs and it barely holds a mess kit, some food and an esbit stove and fuel. Barely.

We use the CountyComm bags because they sit waiting to be used, couldn't justify the cost of the Nucleus, and frankly, since they aren't in daily use, there's no need.

cheers,
