Anybody with knowledge of Carley Lamps...

...please help. Can you tell me if Carley makes a T1 3/4 bi-pin bulb that runs on 3V? I bought a Craftsman 2AA Tool Light, and it's a LOT brighter than a mini-mag with a Nexstar bulb...only problem is that the bulbs that come with it have a very short life; very bright, but crap out QUICKLY! I really like the design of the Craftsman light...especially the button style switch, but 3V T1 3/4 size bulbs are HARD to find. Any help/advice/input would be appreciated. Thanx in advance...

T-1 3/4 bulbs are not in the stock catalogues of either Carley or Welch Allyn. Many of us have previously unsuccessfully looked for identical form-factor alternatives to the T-1 3/4 5.3 V 1.10 A Surge bi-pin bulb.

Is the Craftsman bulb bi-pin? T-1 3/4 is technically only a specification for the diameter of the glass envelope. Pin widths can vary. If you are lucky, perhaps some of the Carley T-1 1/2 bi pin bulbs would fit well enough to work.

The Craftsman bulbs for the 2AA Tool Light are bi-pin; in fact, they're just a hair smaller in diameter than the bulb from my Legend LX. Chances are the Carley T-1 1/2 would probably be a perfect fit. Do they come in 3V? Thanx, lemlux!
