Anyone Added a Protection Circuit to Sanyo 18650?

Just an idea i had...

Is anyone on CPF able to add a protection circuit to an Sanyo or LG 2600mah 18650 and heat shrink the exterior?

That would be a fantastic way of getting absolute premium, highest capacity cells with the safety of a protection circuit.

Anyone tried it?
