So, has anyone already got some of the not yet officially released super dies that produce 400lumens at 1A?

If so, does anyone want to sell me some for a good price? (to be honest, I don't think I would sell any if I had some

) I know I'm too impatient, but I just can't buy r5's knowing that in a few months I would have to buy s2's! Of course my eye wouldn't notice the difference between the two, but the led junkie in me would tell me that the s2 is soo much brighter and better

I just hope that I can get my hands on them before an even better bin is announced! hehe... does anyone else feel like that?

btw, does anyone know when cree plans to release them? Maybe the same time as the warm white xp-g's...

Just buy the R5 bins.

If you wait for the S2 bin to come out, you might as well have waited for the S3 bin, or maybe even for the S4 bin, possibly the S5 bin, who knows maybe the T2 bin, why not the XP-J in T5 bin, or maybe the W2 bin...

Get the idea? ;)

Anyone who has those right now cannot legally sell them. Cree owns the samples.;)

Not to mention the dilemma when the first S2s do trickle out, but the colour bin isn't quite right...

I got to play with a Quark 123^2 running an S2... it is nice, but they aren't commercially available yet.
