I have recently purchased this light as more consistent replacement for UKE 2L. I have purchased three replacement lamps. The 3 lamps are slightly different with some artifact but, this puppy will throw however. Better reach than Pelican M6 to my eye. I do not think leaving on for 10 minute period or more is good idea. The plastic lens and bezel becomes very hot. I have lost very much runtime as well, but seems more consistant lamp quality over UKE lamps.
If anyone has experience with this light, please share experiences.

I didn't think TACM was still in business.

Good light, SUPER throw with the smooth reflector. The body, eventhough it is a polymer, is very durable. The only drawback to this light is the heat generated warps the plastic lens.

Thank you, Dano. I am not totally suprised that the lens will warp. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif As you mentioned it has incredible reach ! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif At 4.5 inches long it is not much larger than UKE 2L and is very lightweight. I think I will add to EDC for a time. The artifacts in beam are not visible at 15-20 feet. Very capable of illuminating objects at + 170 feet. The manufacturer is still in operation. Nope. A new bezel has to be purchased in order to replace the lens (unless there has been a design change).

Then I'm guessing that the Streamlight TL-2 and NF-2 are the shortest 2xCR123A lights that use or can use a glass lens. Unless there's a smaller LED light I'm omitting.

I have had a couple of Tacm3. Good lights. They took years of abuse. The only thing I ever broke on one was the wires on one of the pressuer switrhches and it was not really thier fault.
