I am using my mdc 123 a lot now, and I was thinking given that the tail switch is one piece with the body It's not going to be a relatively cheap fix to replace if it wears out. And also I can't really do any maintenance either.

All you need to do is remove the clip and then you can pinch out the switchboot. Remove the o-ring and then with a pair of needle nose pliers you can unscrew the switch.

thank you for your help

I've had McClicky's in probably 50 lights over the years, I've never had one fail, ever. Not to say it cannot happen, but it has not happened to me.

the sealing system of the Malkoff flashlights are not the best. Like the old G2s e 6Ps (that did not have the lockout system) they don't have good pressure on the sealing rubber. However, I never had any problems with them.
