Anyone know what pill will fit this host?

I bought this:

to mod but there seems to be no pill inside for an LED or circuit board. I thought that it would come with one. Anyone happen to know what threaded pill will fit inside? Thanks.

well try a P60 modules one....if it does tell us too

Unfortunately, a p60 is not compatible with this light. There is already a reflector held in place with a retaining ring in the head. And the top of the body is threaded on the inside to accept a threaded pill. I tried putting in the bottom part of a p60 but it's the wrong diameter and too small.

I've bought 5 of these lights (sorry if my english suck)
and put these one in:

added a 3,7v battery and a GITD clicky cap on it.

Wow, looks like you just put a p60 drop-in into the light. Did you remove the existing reflector that was in the head? I guess the p60 is held in place by screwing down the head?

Jupp, removed the ring. ripped off the big spring of the drop-in and put it in the head, then putt the ring back to hold the drop-in in place :huh:
Sooo easy and soooo bright...!

Hmm, I guess I stand corrected. I'll have to give this a shot. How is the heat transfer from the pill to the light itself? Does the reflector piece make contact with the walls of the light for heat transfer? Thanks for the info.

Not much so I stuffed it with aluminum foil

It has a runtime aprox 45 min. and it gets hot to the tuch butt not to hot

Make sure you notice that it is a 22mm drop in on KAI, not a standard 26mm P60.

I just got that same host but mine came with a pill that didn't fit right so I had to turn it down some so it would fit right. Then I removed the bezel and inside the top part of the host was threads where it screws into but the threads were really rough with tons of machining chips, including where the tailcap and bezel screws onto. Finally I got all the threads cleaned up (wasn't any easy task but had no choice) and pill went into the host alot better. Just wondering if you guys got any type of pill at all and how was the threads on your host?

for informatioin shake....there is a straight P60 host that has a AA tube. Trustfire TR-C6....DX used to stock similar ones. I have one and moded the pill with an Aa driver...what I did not like is the palstic bezxel ring and the plastic switcxh retainer...otherwise it is Ano III

I got the host from kaidomain. When I get the camera from my wife I take some pics to show you. I wanted a host that would cost me less than $10 to build up that's including host. I had a junk cree q5 from another project and test fit it but the hole in the reflector is too big for the bubble lens unless there is another cree out there with bigger lens on it. So I'm opting for a ssc p4 that I already have in hand, seems to fit better (will show you how it fit in pic). If I was you I would contact them to get a pill if you haven't already done so. I didn't want to buy a drop in module cause I enjoy learning how to build these light. If you were going to buy a drop in why not just buy a cree light that's already put together for less than $15.

I'm really after an empty pill that I can build up and put into the light. I'll try contacting KD to see if they'll send me the right empty pill. Not sure if they'll do it though. :shakehead
