Re: Anyone know what this is and if it\'s available?

I found them on the UK Ebay site and sent an e-mail to get some. They will make good stocking stuffers along with ARC AAA's

Heh...I was walking through my house this morning and all the lights were off...(I handen't thought to turn my flashlight on before I had full hands) so anyway I look down and see this glow coming from my pocket.

I freaked out for about .5 seconds and then remembered it was my tracer

Sometimes I will walk out of my bedroom in the night and see a Green glow floating about a meter off the floor. In that instant, I realize it a Glow ring in my wifes purse on a table. It also makes it easy to find where I drapped my pants what with the glow from the pocket.
"Is that a Glowring in your pocket or are you just happy to see me"

Re: Anyone know what this is and if it\'s available?

I've got one in the bathroom sitting on the tank for those 3am trips when I don't want to turn on the lights. Gives me just enough light to stumble in and "aim". Last I heard e-bay has banned them from the auctions.

Re: Anyone know what this is and if it\'s available?

Ebay has banned them from auctions in the U.S. They are still on the UK Ebay. In any event, I got ahold of the vendor and he's selling them for $7 U.S. with $4 shipping for up to 6 glows.

Anyone have multiple colors have a favorite color? Why? And is green really that much more brighter?

Thanks.

Re: Anyone know what this is and if it\'s available?

Ah, that not the guy who got kicked off ebay. So Bev's going to give a better price then what is listed on the auction? Cool.
7X6=42+4=46. Please email me her email address. I want to talk to her if it's alright with you.

Moved to our LED Forum. Follow it here. "

Is Tritium considered LED? I don't think this thing has any LEDs in it. I didn't know what section to post this in. Sorry.

Re: Anyone know what this is and if it\'s available?

Got the address, thanks.
The Glowrings are not LED's but do fit in this forum as Electroluminescent.

Re: Anyone know what this is and if it\'s available?

Glowrings are best in this forum section.

I love glowrings. I had 100 at one stage. I've got about 15 left for my own personal use. I gave most of them away, and my brother has sold a few to his friends.

I like the purple ones for colour, but the greens are brightest.

The site in Britain for the trasers is:
www.frug.co.uk
How do I hyperlink or get this url to just click on. Maybe it'll do it automatically? we'll see after I post.

Re: Anyone know what this is and if it\'s available?

Yep. it automatically linked. Pretty neat!

Re: Anyone know what this is and if it\'s available?

Official Traser UK site: http://traser.com

Frug are a great lot, I got mine from there.

Another good dealer is http://adventurekit.co.uk

Sorry, no overseas-shipping sites. As pointed out, they are not legal to import to many places.

.

I have often wondered why folks refer to purple trasers. As far as I know, there are no purple ones. There are some that emit an attractive deep blue, but it sure isn`t purple.

Maybe my eyes aren`t calibrated correctly?

Hey Surefire M6. I got a postcard from the ebay guy two weeks ago with no price change from the old auctions. Is his name Jason?
TIA

Yes, Green is the brightest. My favs are Blue and Purple.

Re: Anyone know what this is and if it\'s available?

Tritium is Radioactive and emits Gamma Rays among other things. This is why they are banned in USA. This is not the same as Tritium night sights (3 Tritium dots on gunsights). Tritium Night Sights are safer (whole lot less Tritium).
