anyone mod one of those million CP lights with HID?

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of yall have mod one of those huge multi million CP lights with HID? They seem to have the same size and build as the HID flashlights. Would I be able to wire up an automotive ballast and an automotive HID bulb and have it work inside the same housing as the million CP flash light?

It's doable, but unless you can fit the ballast inside, then the light won't be water resistant/splash resistant.

If you use an automotive ballast, it *should* be water resistant. It's not something I'd want to try to go diving with, but it shouldn't be a problem in the rain. Most of them are sealed pretty well.
