Im curious to see if it has been done yet. Has there been a modded AE HID light with a 35W Bulb?? Im sure it would be quite a task but Im not sure what all would be involved.Im not familiar with the 25W Ballast either any input???

I can't think of how it would be done since the lamp comes with that integral igniter base thingy. Plus there is the issue of the ballast. Simple dropping in a higher wattage bulb wouldn't really do anything as long as the same 25W ballast was used. I don't think a larger ballast is capable of fitting in the Xenide since it's pretty skinny.

I don't think that's possible. The lamp module is custom, it's a bulb/reflector assembly, and the ballast is completely sealed. From talking with Marc Allsman, I got the idea that if it could have been done, they would have already. It's a size limitation, and a 25W DC ballast worked best.

It would be nice to see a 35W AC set-up in that size though!

They should sell a a seperate ballast and bulb thats 35W. I bet it would sell great. And it would be very nice since its a SMO reflector.I dont no why they havent made a 35W+ for this light yet.Considering the build quality of the AE Im sure it would be the most sought after HID flashlight if they went to a 35W and kept the price around where it is now with the same bodt configuration.
