I know the manual says not to, but ALL flashlight manuals say not to take the light apart and we have a whole subforum for that!
I saw in a recent thread that somebody had run their SC600 on CR123's and even though everyone freaked out, it appeared ok (turning it on is always the most scary part). I did a bit of research and it looks like most CR123's sag down to about 2.2v under a 2 amp load; that's a total of 4.4v, so I'm not surprised it didn't blow out.
I have an SC600 on the way and my only hesitation about the light is that I will have no backup primary for it... So my question is: was anyone else curious enough about the light to try it out with CR123's for a long enough time to call it safe?
