Anyone tried this 6-LED 2AA flashlight?

Ah, yes, thanks for the pointer. They do look like one and the same. I'd thought they looked similar, but I was thrown because the link I included above described it as a 2AA light, choosing not to mention that it performs best with 3 "N" batteries; nor do the sites advertising it as a 3N light tend to note that it takes AAs.

Craig, or anybody, have you done a side-by-side comparison between this light and any of the various 3AA lights and/or the Trek7?

I haven't tried it against the Trek 7 because that was a loaner light that was returned long before I got the FlashLED 6-LED thing.
It is fairly well on par with most of the good 3 "AA" cell lights when used in the 3 "N" cell configuration. The sample I tested has a resistor in series with the LED board, so it isn't being driven nearly as hard as any of the others, so it very likely will NOT outshine a Trek-7. That much I can tell without having to test them together.

Brock... here's your chance to shine once again.
When you receive the white FlashLED I sent, load it up with new "N" cells and compare it with your Trek-7 and the other LED flashlights you own.

For this particular question, you are going to be most suited to answer it.

I just finished updating my regular flashlight page so now when I get the ones from you I can concentrate on the LED lights and add the Brinkman model. I will post how all the lights fit in to my "brightness scale" I can't wait to see the Turtle.

The LEDTronics is very close behind the Lightwave 2000 or Quantum 2000, but in a smaller package. It also doesn't last long using 3 N cells compared to the 3 AA or 4 AA cells in the other lights. It is much easier on the LED's, not overdriving them at all. It doesn't really compare to the Trek 7 though. Craig has better info on the light on his site and I have it ranked among the other lights I have seen so far.
