Anyone used the LT1932?

I just bought some LT1932 LED drivers and was wondering if anyone has built anything with them. particularly, I am not sure were to get or which inductors I should use or if it really matters other than the inductance value and amp rating. (the spec sheet has some very specific properties)

It looks like a promising chip for what I want, but is there a non SMD version? I don't think I'm capable of soldering SMDs.
What I want is a driver that can run 6 to 10 20ma LEDs from a low voltage sourse, 1 to 3 VDC.
