Anyone want to build a run of dedicated low level lights?

i'll buy one if you can get a 6 month run-time out of one AW 18650 :candle:

You mean a LF2XT pill in a titanium tube with this beam?

I would be in... I would think one of the very talented builders here could come up with an aleph- type LE or light that was 2 or 3 level that would work. I know that lights already exist with these levels, maybe it is seen as too much of a niche product. Sign me up!!! Paypal ready. :D

im thinking an 'economy' host and quality electronics/led.

with the sole purpose of low light levels and loooooooooooong run times (nice tint?)

forget these 'pocket rockets' i want a 'pocket sandal'

Done! Runtime isn't the greatest, but if you want a light that's ridiculously low; well, some compromises have to be made. You guys know how it is.

Normally, each unit is $20. But for the CPF community, only $5 per unit. Below you can see a lovely model showing off the proper way to hold one unit, in order to get the best performance.

Those who are interested, please PM me for contact information.

Edit: Price reduction. Now only $3.50 for each unit.

:paypal: for one (1) headless red-shirted model, thanks!

Sorry. Model not for sale. She's a one-off. Milky had a helluva time making her. He might be convinced to make another headless Mule. But he said no more headless models. :)

Well I'll have to settle for the two Milky candles I have then, which funny enough is a light that is pretty much what this thread is asking for.

Yup, problem solved. Best bet for an extreme, ultra, low.

Even better than my units. ;)

So I've wanted to knOw, let's limbO, how low could we gO?

I love my 100w clickys LOW, but I would love way lower. Is it possible? What's the clickts low, .2 or .02 lumens? I can't remember. Could we get like.005 lumens? Chew on it for awhile.

I think the lowest lows I've seen so far are the latest Milky-built Diamond Dragon/Acorn lights. Drive current at ultra-low is 8mA (half that in miser mode?), and it's truly a moon-mode.

Agreed Donn. Scott built me a "Luna" Floodmaster, and in theater mode, if I turn it on low, it is basically a locater. Having that output, the output of my Titan T1A on minimum, and a 3- lumen or so level in one dedicated light would really be sweet, though. Perhaps an interested party thread in "Led Flashlights" is in order? or maybe someone who can make this happen would post here? If nobody objects or wants to take the reins instead, I will start the interest thread tonight. If we show enough interest, perhaps it will be worth someone's time and effort to try to put something together.
