Any other manufacturers making a light comparable to Surefire EDCL2-T? Same or more lumens and HAIII? I assume that this does not get very hot? Thanks

Edit: Never mind! I just purchased the surefire! For some reason it added to cart at Amazon for $100.00 and is being delivered today!

Oh darnit. Plus I see the 2 speed switch as a drawback. Holding that in must be a pain. Would much rather a clickie. For the price I got I am not going to complain. The price was obviously some error or something. I have no clue. Very odd, as Amazon would be the last place to make a computing error such as that. Unless there was a flash sale I was unaware of. Either way for one bill I am not going to complain about the thing. Itself or anything else like it would have cost me a lot more. It is just fine. I got side tracked. I meant to start purchasing my big flood lights. Now that my throwers are all settled. I wanted a LEP but there are too many legal issues that I am afraid of. So I am just not messing with it. I mean I have concealed carry. I obey the law. I don't open a can of worms though. Please let's not discuss that in this thread however. I was just mentioning what is on my shopping list. I was mentioning that because of the deal I just scored on this. On that note, I will soon find out. Although I doubt it gets as hot as the old Luxeon III. At least I sure hope not. There is always a glove. Actually, today if that were the case I am sure it would step down. 1200 lumens is not very much today. Perhaps in that size light. If I do not like it, no big loss.

Wow, you got that light for a steal. A lot of people prefer the gas pedal switch..then simply twist for constant on.Me, I like both clicky and that one. To my eyes 1 SureFire Lumen = 2 for every one else. Those are just numbers to me, I look at the beam quality. You would laugh if I told you I started EDC'ing my '09 SureFire L1 again.

I am finding this comparable to lights that are around 500 lumens. Perhaps I got a bad one.

Edit: I guessed right. Put it in the Labsphere. It is outputting 543 lumens. Should I exchange it? I am assuming the answer it, yes.

1996aln2, i have always had every model Surefire, Save for some gun lights and other specialty lights like infrared. I have never had one be twice the claimed lumens. Quite a bit more? Indeed. However my early example UDR Dominator only outputs a little over 1900 lumens. I do not fault it because it well exceeds the claimed throw. That would be exactly why. I could not complain. It served me well to heck and back for 3 plus years. It is a absolutely fine light and I can say nothing bad about any Surefire. The only issue with the Dominator is that at this point technology has surpassed it. I imagine they still sell it to Government agencies that must buy American. Even so, it is in no way bad. As for the light we are discussing I obviously got a dud. We do not need to discuss this. I am exchanging it. There is no point in being stupid about this. Surefire would never produce a light with half it's claimed output. It is most certainly broken. Again, there is no point in discussing it. That is not say people do not have the right to post here. They in fact do. I am just saying my misfortune the point being moot. It is not indicative of this light. I simply got a bad one for whatever reason. It will be taken care of. It is however ironic that I received the big discount. I am just joking about that of course. If Amazon sells 2nd quality they clearly state so. The discount was just some other fluke I guess. My luck runs both good and bad.

Every fake light I've ever received came from amazon sellers, most were discount priced. The fake G2x Pro was a pretty good fake along with several Streamlight models………
Just sayin'.

I really wonder if this is what has occurred here. Since Amazon is highly unlikely to make a pricing mistake. Almost impossible. Quite frankly I would rather, and have no problem paying the $155 and getting the proper item. I guess I am going to involve Amazon at this point. I thank you for pointing this out. i would not have thought of this. It makes perfect sense. I receive a huge discount and the light performs at half what it should. Go figure. I am reporting this guy to amazon and I am sure that amazon will get me my money back. Meanwhile I will purchase a real one from a reputable seller. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I already got one shipped and sold by Amazon. The first one was quite obviously fake. Externally they are not the same. Amazon promised I will get my money back one way or the other within 10 days. Amazon is a no nonsense company. They can afford to be upstanding and protect their name. Oh, there is no comparison to the light output. I put it in the Labsphere and it is putting out almost 1400 lumens! Typical Surefire. The other is typical piracy. I see that Amazon already suspended that persons account. They informed me that they have had numerous complaints regarding that entity. Figures I would fall for it. If it is too good to be true.....
