Are we getting tired of all the ARC4 talk yet?
I am still interested that's for sure.
You know somthing they don't call the KROLL switch a clikie for nothing. It cliks and it is pretty loud especially if you are trying to be stealthy.
Well guess what. The ARC4 is totally quiet. No click sound, no nothing. That is good. It is just that I haven't read anybody talk about this yet.
Now for the issues I have with the thing after a couple of days.
With the clip I am finding it hard to find a good holding position. Without the clip the light is slippery, the head desperatly needs to be knurled or checkered.
One of the many great qualities the ARC LS series of lights in the standard configuration has, is their biteability.
I don't feel good biting the ARC4. I wish I did because it is a good way to hold it. ummmm maybe a rubber sleeve of sorts...On the other hand I like the way that the ARC4 securly clips on to a baseball cap for hands free use.
Now if I only wore a baseball cap.

The good news is that the new switch-guard currently in development (and covered at length in other threads) should address this for you. As to biting, you may wish to get one of those small, wide rubber bands (such as you find on lobster claws when you buy 'em live from your grocer) and put it on the tail portion of the Arc4.

Thik of all the interesting colors! You could accessorize your light's appearance with different colored bands to match your clothing.

Ahhh.... but perhaps this is going a bit too far with the concpt. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I have an ARC4+ and just received an ARC4+ "Second" today. I did not put the clip on the "First", but did put the clip on the "Second". IMHO the light has much better "gripability" with the clip installed. I have no intention of using my teeth to hold it, unless in an extreme emergency so I cannot give much guidance as to the "biteability" factor. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I actually like the biteablity of the arc4. And yes it does taste minty... (or is that my toothpaste?)
