Well, I tried posting pics on my own web page, but forgot to publish it. Then I realized those who weren't comcast users wouldn't be able to access it anyways, so I followed the advice given by gyverpete below & took a crash course in imagestation posting.

So here it is .

What do y'all think?

link doesn't work /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

apparently i need to register or something?

Re: Arc LS clip mod pics

You might want to try Sony's www.imagestation.com to host your photos. I use it with no problems. It's free. You just register and upload your pics according to their directions. Others don't have to register to view them.

Nice clip/mod, it's not just a piece of metal bent over and riveted...I certainly like the desigin! Great work!

Nice work! Just be careful not to clip it on the brim of a baseball cap and blind yourself! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That looks real good. I'm glad imagestation worked out for you.
I like clips alot since they do away with the need for a holster, and keep the light from ending up at the bottom of a pocket and the clip you used rides low which is nice too. Does it get in the way at all when turning it on/off with the twisty? I might give it a try.

It'a a bit different turning it on/off w/ the twisty now, but w/ a little practice you can still do it w/ one hand.
Either can be perfectly stationed in my left front pants pocket, as the knife goes on the other side.
The clips are from www.knifekits.com.

Thanks dbwebbsr,
I'm going to try it, but I'm making my own clip because I can't justify the $7.95 shipping for a $4.00 clip, at least not unless I botch my homemade one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

Well, I got all the parts at once (the kit, both clips, & some extra screws) & pimped them about a military discount, & ended up w/ free shipping.

I smell group buy. I would do it in a heartbeat if I wasn't in Canada.

Anyone interested? I really like the clip, but I agree on the $8 for shipping earlier posted by gyverpete. I could see a lot of guys interested in this. Think about it... an Arc AAA/AA or even LS money clip (albeit seems better on the AAA if it can fit)! Just wondering aloud.

Maybe Peter would be interested in adding this as an option to the LS?

It would depend on whether you supplied your own clip. Emerson now makes one (w/ his cool skull logo on it), but I prefer the foldover one I found on knifekits.com as it allows the torch to ride lower in the pocket. I also polished it for a better look.
If someone were to ship their tailcap to me, I could do them for $25/ea, which includes my procuring the clip, installation, & U.S. Priority mailing it back to you.
For those interested, please let me know. I can't guarantee I'll continue getting free shipping from them, & won't be making much $ per light (which I'm really not out to do anyways.) Would 10 or 12 people be interested in this?

IF you could put it on the head of the Arc LS, I might be interested. Otherwise, I will wait for the LS4.

If we could find a clip like the one for the Infinity series, but would fit on the Arc LSes (not AA), that would be great.

I like to clip a light to the brim of a ballcap, so the emitter end points outward and not at the cap. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can completely understand that. I just needed a reliable way to clip it to the inside of a pants pocket, not for that kind of use. I wouldn't even consider drilling into the "magic" end of the light either as the metal is a bit too thin to support a clip (or anything else.) Others may be brave enough to try it, just not me.
