So I got this beautiful minty little ARC-P and I love it....... except the color is quite a bit too cool for me. Does any one know if and how to update the emitter? Don't really care if it can be made brighter because I like the run time (well maybe a little brighter would be ok?). I would like a more neutral / warm beam is all. This thing is almost purple and it bugs me trying to read a map due to the colors.

Any suggestions or info on this?

In theory, yes, the LED can be replaced. In practice, it's a royal pain, and chances of damaging the board are high.

I used to do those mods; not worth the risk for a tint change.

Sorry, been away for over a week. So it's REEEEALY that bad? Man, this blue kills it for map reading or anything that requirs color like wiring etc.

peak eiger used to offer a choice between a warm and cool tint- not sure if they still do- try calling Bob at RMSK- added plus is the peak head/body s/b lego-able/compatible/interchangeable.

You could also use a very fine grit sanpaper and sand the LED's dome with it. It'll diffuse the beam and get rid of some of the artifacts.

It doesn't help much with the tint, though - that's just the nature of the beast.
